RAINDROPS HAVE FALLEN

Tears fall down from your eyes
When cupid’s call falls upon closed doors
I smile at your mournful flow’rs
As I whisper, “Goodbye, gloomy skies.”

In the solace of our garden,
where those bright scarlet petals used to shine,
My heart mourns over the loss
But what has become of Eden?

I welcome each bright sunny day
Lest I’ll be paler than your roses
But amid sunlight kisses,
A bolt of lightning still strikes me.
